If I'm in town, I'll be there for sure. Regions Park used to be known as the Hoover Met just off I-459.

take the first Hoover exit if you're coming up 459 North from Tuscaloosa and follow the signs. The Hoover Met (Regions Park) has a HUGE parking lot and the Mayor (Tony Petelos) is supporting this big time and from what I hear is a fan of car shows!

I'm thinking of going up to Chattanooga and taking the ride into Hoover. We're trying to get a cruise-in for that night between the Hooters on 119 and Sonic on 31 just around the corner from Hooters. Needless to say, I'm taking off Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Re: 2010 Hot Rod Power Tour

I've got a thread going on the HOT ROD.com site about getting up a cruise-in in Pelham. If ya'll have any suggestions, feel free to chime in. I know some people that work for Hooters on 119 and I was thinking between there and Sonic Drive In right around the corner people could cruise back and forth. It's not TUBBY'S drive in (aka Hollywood Knights), but I think it would do for one location. I'm sure there are going to be other gatherings in Birmingham, but according to people's posts on HOTROD.com, there are a lot of rooms taken by cruisers in Pelham. They could then just hop on 65 heading south to Mobile Friday morning for the last stretch of the Power Tour.

The GM for Advance Auto at the intersection of 119 and 31 has said we could have his parking lot that night. He is an F-Body owner as well. This would make 3 parking lots (Hooters, Sonic and Advance) for the cruise-in. Will keep you updated as to what the managers at Sonic and Hooters say.
